Pastor Amos K Yormie is a Liberian-born United States based pastor who lived his youthful life in a non- Christian community in the West African state of Liberia, a war ravaged and impoverished nation.

 Pastor Yormie is the privileged Founder/General Overseer of Covenant Outreach Ministry International and Senior pastor, Covenant Outreach Center, Jubilee City, 1040 South 57th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19143. He has been involved in preaching, teaching, evangelism, church planting, crusade and every aspect of the work of Jesus Christ since his conversion to Christianity in 1992.

He has 27 years’ experience in Kingdom service. He served in sundry positions from volunteer church worker before becoming an ordained minister of the gospel. 

The Covenant Outreach Center (COC) currently has a total of ten (10) churches planted in Liberia WEST AFRICA and the United States of America.

This Vision is reflected in the motto of the ministry “Transforming the Nations’ of the world. He is a devote man of God, married to Mother Euphemia Yormie and the union is blessed with 3 children, two beautiful girls and a boy.  

Pastor Yormie is a candidate for master’s degree in Bible Theology, Spiritual Life Bible College and Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Theology (BTH) from the same college and certificate from the Living Water Bible Training Center, Monrovia, Liberia. He also has several ministerial missions and conferences in Liberia, Europe and the USA.   

With 27 years of service in the Lord’s vineyard, His passion is unwavering since he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1992. He received the call to preach in 1993 but due to the civil unrest in Liberia at that time, he fled to the neighboring country of Ivory Coast where he organized Christian fellowships in different locations. The Lord spoke to him to return to the war zone in Liberia especially the hottest contested city under the control of rebel forces under the banner National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL) of then warlord Charles Taylor. 

The mandate was for him to start planting churches. He obeyed the calling and returned to Gbarnga city in 1993. By 1995, he along with his team of evangelists established and planted 7 churches in rural Liberia. 

As senior pastor with 2 churches each in Bong, Nimba and Montserrado counties, he then moved to Monrovia, the capitol city where he pastored the central church on the SKD Boulevard in the city of Paynesville. Because of his dedication to the works of the Almighty God, he had several opportunities and traveled to many African countries including Europe prior to his migration to the United States of America. 

By divine arrangement, as the saying goes, to every higher level there are even higher challenges. Pastor Yormie left his young wife Euphemia and little daughter with nothing fix as income and moved over to the United States as part of his quest for the expansion of the mandate given to him by God.

Upon his entry in the United States,he  started what would later become Covenant Outreach Center(COC) Philadelphia branch, through a  house fellowship at the residence of the Suahs situated at 6325 Guyer Avenue, Philadelphia, 19142 in 2007. 

The church in transition moved to 6171 Grays Avenue and 6101 Grays Avenue in the same zip code 19142 in Philadelphia prior to finally acquiring this mega edifice now at 1040 South 57th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19143. 

He is a spiritual leader, an organizer, a prolific teacher by the power of the Holy Spirit. His power pact Pentecost approach and energies have powered the ministry from open arena in refugee camp in the Ivory Coast to an international Gospel Movement.

As an ordained Pastor he is deeply engaged in the planning, directing and supervision of the implementation of the church’s programs.Pastor Yormie provides regular spiritual leadership, prepares weekly sermons and all teaching related contents with the support of his core of officer by the directive of the Holy Spirit.

He leads the congregation into routine spiritual initiatives like evangelism, fast and prayers among others.

Pastor Amos Yormie is known in many quarters as a no-nonsense taker who is not willing at any time to compromise the Gospel of Christ for any reason. He is a fire burned Pentecostal Pastor who is passionate about soul winning and preaching the gospel of salvation, righteousness, love and faith.
