Jubilee City, Covenant Outreach Center actually started as a house fellowship at 6325 Guyer Avenue, Philadelphia, 19142(Suah’s residence) in 2007.
The service later became a Sunday Evening Fellowship in the Chester Pike area the same year. The fellowships continue to grow by the end of 2007 thru June 2008. The Lord was gradually bringing his people and there was now an immediate need for a better and bigger space to worship with growth in membership. By divine direction and discipleship effort of the leadership, we officially launched this great church at 6171 Grays Avenue, PA 19142.
In the course of 2 years while the operated from its Grays edifice; the church grew both spiritually and in membership.
Jubilee city in transition then moved to 6101 Grays Avenue in the same locality where she stayed until June 30, 2016 and then finally moved to the present sanctuary on July 20, 2016 after acquiring the multi-mega building with adequate space for both worship and other church activities. The church leadership took administrative measures intended to strengthen operations efforts thru the establishment of rudimentary departments and axillaries.
Deacons and deaconess were ordained, Children Ministry, Choir Department were well established, Youth and Usher Departments, Men and Women departments became more functional and more active in the church activities.
Others were the Pastoral Aide committees, Anniversary committee, Program committee and Prayer Team/ Prayer Line. In addition, Music and Media Ministry along with Photographers and Sanitation department were also established for better working of the church. The church under its founder/senior Pastor and General Overseer Amos K. Yormie Jr. with the help and advice of co-workers, local pastors and mentors in the US and Liberia, West Africa have established other churches especially in Liberia.
